    Croquet Anyone?

Published by Pam Kessler | 109 words. · About 1 minute to read this article. - 28 Comments

Back in June I talked about a vintage croquet set that I had gone to a estate sale for and didn't get to buy.

So I have been looking for another one ever since. Sure I have seen some at antique stores, but they were never in that great of shape. Some missing some balls. Some missing the wickets. Some with broken mallets.

But good things come to those who wait. I found one in excellent shape for her age!!!

OK, it has a metal cart, rather than the wooden type I had been picturing in my dreams, but I looked past it and went ahead and bought it.

I have wanted a croquet set for years too. I played as a child and loved it. Hope you have many happy games.

I spent many youthful hours playing croquet in the backyard. I wish I still had my old set! Your newly found set is awesome...love the metal cart!!!

What a great find....and in such good condition. My neighbor found and bought one last year but yours is in much better shape. I believe she's missing a few balls. I remember playing that too....:)

Yay, you found one. I saw one in the window of an antique store and thought of you but the price was not friendly. The colors are so good on this one and I remember playing but that does in no way indicate my age. ♥O

I'm so happy you found a set. I have to say I'm loving the wire cart - - it's sweet colorful wheel sucked me right in.

We have a family tradition of playing a game or two every fourth of july. It's become very competitive. Plus we change it up every year. This year dad let the grass grow longer then normal then cut farways. It made thing a little more interesting that's for sure.

Oh, that's nice! My mom has an old set too and when we play we just make up our own rules 🙂
