    A Tisket, A Tasket

    A tisket, a tasket
    A brown basket

Wait, I think it says something about a green and yellow basket. Oh well, at least I had some fun thrift store finds this week.

Wooden picnic basket made by West Rindge Baskets in New Hampshire for $2.92. It is just in OK condition, since it has a broken splint in the front and the lid is missing a few nails. But I thought it was cute and springy.

A silverplated serving dish for $2.00.

A silverplated footed bowl for $1.00.

Silverplated forks made by Winthrop for 25 cents each.

OK, I admit it. I have a silver problem. I'm pretty sure I can kick it though. Maybe tomorrow.

Did you notice that I drug out my Daffodils again. Thought I'd take advantage of them while I can.

Beautiful picnic. We are to hit 80* tomorrow and I'm so happy to see it. A picnic is in order don't you think?

Wow, I never get jealous of other people but I came close with this blog. Apparently we have the same taste. I collect picnic baskets and have that same silver serving dish. I'm also trying to pick up utensils for my daughter to repurpose. I haven't seen prices that low! I admire you (it's better than being jealous).

Oh Pam....that silver serving dish...mmmmmmm....yep - I can't say that I'm bad when it comes to silver, but I do enjoy a few pieces....now, when it comes to Karrie - she's been known to clean out a whole flea market full of silver 🙂

I just adore picnic baskets! That is a beautiful one and looks like one my parents used to have. What fun finds. If they had applied a little elbow grease to the silver pieces they could have gotten a lot more for them - aren't you glad they didn't!
      Have a great weekend!

What great finds for super cheap. And I love the daffodils, they are such a happy little flower, they have that ability to cheer you up.

Fun finds! I love the pattern on the forks! I'm a sucker for silverware from that era. And I actually have the covered serving dish. Got mine for a wedding present in 1973. It has a divided glass insert inside.
