In reply to Ruth. Oh, no! My Michaels had only 2 rolls of it when I bought it. Sounds like an odd place to find it, but it was in the section where they have tiny little birds and bird nests you would add to a wreath. There was also some plastic grapes and jars of sand around it. If I stop in there this week I'll take a photo of what the area looks like.

Hi Pam, well I checked at my local Michael's and JoAnn's and tried to not roll my eyes when the young girls working at each place had no idea what "birch bark" was. After explaining and them calling other young women on walkie talkies, no luck. Couldn't find it online at Michael's either and reviews of what Amazon has aren't encouraging. Guess I'll have to hope I stumble upon some in the future. I will remember them, they are stunning. Your blog is very entertaining!

I think I will try doing this with bark from a tree. I’m cheap!
The rubber bands that come with fresh asparagus at the grocery store are perfect. I have about a hundred. Free!
