I've never thought of myself as a white Christmas tree kind of girl.
Not that I even know what that means. It's just that I was firmly and squarely in the green tree, pinecones in a bowl, nature inspired, traditional look for the holidays.
With a few blow molds thrown in. But hey, a big plastic Santa with a light bulb up his butt is traditional right?
Last year, I noticed quite a few bloggers had their Shiny Brite ornaments on white trees and were talking about how it made their ornaments POP.
So I thought, what the heck I might was well walk on the wild side and try a white one. Just this once.
But damn if they don't look good on the tree!
Am I going to h-e-double-toothpicks for using the "damn" word this close to Christmas? The "butt" word is OK though, right?
BTW, this is a small 4' tabletop tree in my dining room. My main tree in the living room is still green. This year, at least!
I am now a convert. Slap a label on me and call me a white Christmas tree lover!
What about you? Are you a green tree lover? Or white?
Melinda
It looks great!
I have two green trees and a silver
tinsel tree plus a variety of small trees.
I think a pink one would be fun to have thougb.

Love your pretty tree. I have a white one too. I agree that it makes the ornaments "pop" and looks a little more vintage to me. Merry Christmas to you.

I love your tree and all of your wonderful ornaments, Pam! We bought a flocked tree this year...I have wanted one FOREVER...and it is the prettiest tree we have ever had. LOVE. I am a white tree lover...

Ok, we're a traditional green tree family. Every year we get a 6-8 foot Frasier fir. But THIS YEAR the white tree was calling my name. So my hubby actually broke down and bought me a fake white one at Wal-Mart. It's our "second tree" and I love it! Only problem is, it's not very stable. Once I started decorating it, it looked like it was starting to l-e-a-n. Not really stable. So of course I got worried that any glass (Shiny Brite, etc.) ornaments would break if it toppled over. Now the tree is decorated completely in non-breakable ornaments! While it's not what I had envisioned, it's still pretty darn awesome! Yours is beautiful. Happy Holidays!

I'm a silver or green girl. You may make me a convert, though. LOVE the white tree with the vintage ornaments.

I also have a 4 foot white Christmas tree with pastel colored lights! It is adorned in my folks Shiney Brites and a few of my own...it sits on a table that has been in the family at least 70 years....I would have never though to be a white Christmas tree lover either, but it was 10.00 after Christmas at Wal-Mart and well....let's just say I am a bargain hunter...stop by and you can see mine...:) 521 Lake Street blog

I don't have room for another tree (already have a green fakey tree downstairs and my beloved silver aluminum pom pom upstairs) but I ADORE the look of vintage ornaments on white branches--IMO there is nothing better that shows them off! I cribbed an idea from MagpieEthel and last year I bought white garlands and colored lights with white wires on clearance. I wound them around my stair railing and used white pipe cleaners to wire on the ornaments and it looks AWESOME!

This is way cool. The ornaments do pop.

Your white tree really does show off your ornaments, Pam! I love the retro look of white trees, but I don't have a single square inch of space to fit one in. In fact, I'll be UNdecorating before the little bulldozers arrive.

This year, I really freaked my family out and didn't do a traditional green tree at all. We live in Oregon. This is unheard of. But I found the most amazing 6-1/2' aluminum pom pom tree at a garage sale last summer so I had to use it! I promised them next year we would get a real tree again. Do real trees come in white because that is what I want to do now! I'll just tell them it's flocked 🙂

Josie has my childhood white tabletop tree in her bedroom and I love it. Such fun memories of my sister and I decorating our bedroom. It does make those ornaments pop!! Christmas hugs!

Well, I like green, but I have thought about silver, only bc my Grandma has one and it would remind me of her. Merry CHRISTmas!
