Quick & Easy Halloween porch decorations to transform your fall porch into a Halloween porch without a lot of super spooky stuff.
I don't normally go all over the top haunted house for my Halloween porch decorations.
I don't plant tombstones in the front yard or have a doormat that screams at you when you step on it.
And I don't hire the freaky clown from It to scare little trick or treaters as they come up to my porch. I definitely don't do THAT!
OK, honestly I have NEVER had a single trick or treater the entire time I've lived here.
So the Halloween decor is for me and the UPS man. Maybe the people who drive past the house.
And I certainly don't want to scare the UPS guy off or anything, so I prefer to do a lighter version of Halloween outside.
The last time I showed you one of my Halloween porches I had a Tacky Caged Owl theme going.
This one I want to call my Cute Little Raven Friends That Might Peck You To Death theme.
But truth be told, I don't know if these are ravens or crows.
How does one tell?
But I do know it was a quick and easy flip from fall to Halloween on the porch.
Because this year I just made a few minor changes that I'll have out until October 31st.
And then first thing bright and early on November 1st, they'll be switched back for the remainder of the fall porch cotillion season.
Transitioning My Porch From Fall To Halloween In 5 Easy Steps
- Changed out leaf on wreath for a wooden raven (I bought that at JoAnn's on clearance)
- Poked twigs in ferns and added dollar store ravens
- Changed out cabbage for a repurposed jack o'lantern (you can see more repurposed jack o-lanterns here)
- Changed out fall "throw" for Halloween colored pillows (very cheap fabric made into envelope pillow covers)
- Removed crate of pumpkins and added a few ravens (in hindsight and looking at the photos, I should have left the crate o' pumpkins)
None of these were mind-blowing switches, but put all together they definitely say UPS-friendly Halloween to me.
Plus it was a quick switch-a-rooney, so there's THAT.
Oh, and if you want to know how I'm going to switch it back in November, just do the steps in reverse.
I probably didn't HAVE to tell you that, but thought I'd throw it on out there just in case you were wondering if you'd see a Turkeys Get Revenge On The Pilgrims themed porch any time soon.
Have you decorated your porch for Halloween yet?

I love this decorated Front Porch. Do you mind if I try and copy for my Front Porch for this year Halloween? Actually I did use one of your other Halloween Decorated Front Porch last year and everyone just loved it. You are so creative!!!

Where did you purchase the crows? Adorable decor
Pam
I got them at Dollar Tree a few years ago.

You've always got your porch decorated to perfection, Pam! I love the sparkly ravens and I'm sure the UPS man does, too. Our porch looks pretty sad with our frozen pumpkins covered in snow. I can't imagine we'll have many kiddos out and about in this weather. It's hard to believe that your plants are still looking so good!

So fresh and inviting... and I LOVE your tool box o' lantern!! Happy Falloween!

Love it! I just finished my fall porch last weekend and finally blogged about it. Drew some inspiration from you! I wish we got trick-or-treaters, but we live WAY OUT in the middle of nowhere, and our driveway is 1/4mi long off the country road we live on. So my decorations are for me and me alone! Unless we get a brave delivery man, who doesn't decide to just stuff the package in our very large mailbox. 😉

love the toolbox jackolantern. we don't get many trick or treaters either.

I'm a huge Walking Dead fan! ....I cry at the news, but give me a hungry zombie and I love it!
Oh, and I love your porch decor!

I don't get into the scary stuff either...a cute wreath with a witches hat as the main theme, a terra cotta pumpkin with a cute cut out face (so you can safely burn a candle in it) along with some mums and assorted annuals left over from summer and that does it for me. I think your porch is perfect!

I love your porch, Pam. You always do it up beautifully no matter the season. I love the tool box--how cute is that!?!
I think there is a difference in ravens and crows and it is something about the tails- although I don't remember what it is and the raven has a deeper cawing sound...of course, that test would NOT work for a faux fowl. lol
Have a great weekend-xo Diana

Your porch looks just perfect for Halloween. I like your crows. I don't do scary Halloween decor either. I like cute, pretty, or funny Halloween decorations. I seem to be in an owl mood this year. I keep finding cute ones. I don't need a screaming Halloween porch mat, as my little dog does enough howling barking if anyone comes near the front porch.

I don't do scary Fall porches either, so I don't go for the spiders, tombstones, skeletons, or screaming mats. I contented myself with Ghosties saying "Boo" Love your toolbox! Surprised you've never had trick or treater munchkins. We don't have many. Maybe the doorbell will ring twice max. We used to have more, but I think Fall Festivals and the like have taken over.

Love the tool box, also. Porch looks great, BTW. Lucky UPS guy.
I usually decorate with Fall stuff first, as I LOVE my pumpkin wreath!! Then, come Halloween, I switch it up and use the skeletons and bones for the trick or treaters!
Gosh..sounds like I have a lot of time on my hands! Not really true, though!
However, Autumn its one of my fav times of the year...weather crisp, still sunny... ( here in Texas, anyway!), cool nights, autumn blooms, leaves falling, beautiful sunrises and sets. Thank you, God, for putting me in this beautiful place!

always love seeing your fun Halloween Porches. My fave this year is the tool box with the cute JOL face.
