You got a steal! It's beautiful! I found 1on craigslist for 20 bucks...it was in bad shape though. I also found a name of someone who refurbishes old typewriters, so I called him...I thought he would be very far away and very expensive, but to my surprise while talking to him on the phone, he was from my town...2 minutes away to be exact! LUCKY GIRL!!!! He took it home, and came back 2 weeks later with a beautifully refurbished machine, new ribbon and all...she is lovely ( Yes, mine is a she) her name is Tess...and she is a very heavy gunmetal R.C. Allen...I just LOVE HER!!!!!! Use it all the time!!!

So enjoyed this post about the green typewriter! You're right - it is the most fabulous shade of green! and 19.99!!! Are you kidding! Sold is right! Well done! (MY 11 year old daughter is obsessed with typewriters right now. I bought one for her for her 11th b-day, for $25. But it is not quite as pretty as yours! Holy cow! That is an amazing price! I love the experience of finding something you LOVE and realizing that it's priced way below what you expected. That has happened to me with Cathrineholm bowls (!) and some awesome Pyrex too.
