Forget to make a centerpiece for your holiday table?
No worries.
Toss that pesky Christmas tree out the front door, grab the tree stand and use it for something really important.
Like a Christmas tree stand candle holder!
All that is required is a tree stand and a candle.
That's it. The faux greenery and vintage ornaments are optional.
You're welcome!
OK, fessing up here. I was so in love with this tree stand when I found it at an estate sale in March and then I totally forgot about it when I was decorating for Christmas! It needed to go somewhere. Anywhere. So dining room table it is!

What a clever idea! It make a perfect candle holder and it's super cute! Love the added touch of greenery.

Being a child of the 50's I have fond memories of scooting under the Christmas tree to put water in our tree stand...passed on to my girls born in the 60's & 70's. Recent years have not needed "ye olde stand" but I know what I'm going to do with it this year!!!! And because we must be kindred spirits I will likely incorporate it amongst my red plaid thermos collection. Happy Decorating!!!

I remember those used to be sort of "tippy". Or maybe it was because of our cat trying to climb it 🙂 Enjoy using yours in a new way this year. BTW, when I was on Pinterest today I saw someone had taken three of the old tree stands of different sizes and stacked them to make a small Christmas tree and then hung ornaments on it.

I have been trying to think of a use for an old cast iron stand that I picked up at a yard sale last year. This is perfect! And just in time too, the family is arriving tomorrow. Thanks so much, I really enjoy your blog.

Hey Pam, that is a very neat, retro stand, no wonder you had to have it displayed. It is very cool and looks perfect on your table.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season!
