Sounds like me when I have to battle the swallows from building their icky nests on our porches and lights. Lol! Birds are stubborn critters.

What can you do? Those birds are just not sensible or dependable! Bird-brained, that's what they are. Maybe next summer you'll have a smarter crowd. That is, if you give the another chance! I'd live in that house if it was big enough!

Ha, I like what Joanne said...must have been too hot for them out in the sun & all. Now they like it better under your covered porch. I like it as part of your fall display. Do birds need houses except when they're raising young? Hmm, never thought about that...do they even need a house right now? You took care of that need though!

He he he! Such uncooperative birdies you're growing in Ohio, Pam. Your birdhouse on a ladder is adorable and I hope you aren't attacked while you're moving it indoors. I have visions of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" and you'd be Tippi Hedren. Better wear a hat when you move it.
