Quirky and vintage- you speaka my language! Love the blow mold santa and the pair of deer! As for the buckets, I think they would have been used for trees or plants before plastic took over. Do I win something if I'm right? hehe

I remember your Union Santa last year. I have his twin brother. You do such a lovely job with your Christmas displays. I had said I was going to cut back after all our Halloween chaos, but I've been dragging out bin after bin of vintage Christmas. It's a disease, I tell ya!!

In reply to Cindy baugh. Ah, what a great story! I have to say he is one of my most favorite Christmas items. Mine came with a light too, but the cord was sort of tattered looking, so I was afraid to plug him in. I ended up just taking the light bulb out. This comes shortly after I bought an antique lamp with a questionable cord, plugged it in and there was a big spark and a sizzle :) Do you still have your parent's tinsel tree?

Hi Pam! My first time here. I was visiting Stonegable and your vintage Santa caught my eye. I have the same one! My dad purchased it in 1957 at the dime store in Bernie, MO. My mom was 5 months pregnant with me. I know the date because Daddy wrote it on the back of Santa's coat. It had a light in it and always sat under our silver tinsel tree. Now I put it in a place of honor high on a shelf and remember my dad's love of Christmas.

You make me smile Yes, darn true here with the ratio of cooking to eating! And I have a severe carb hangover today. Why does the turkey weigh 100 pounds but everyone gravitates to the side dishes?

Love your vintage decorations. My sister did a lovely vintage decor similar to yours. She's gone now but I'll never forget how creative and quirky she was.

I am so torn this year whether to do a farmhouse Christmas or a kitchy vintage Christmas. Lord knows I have enough of both to do whatever I decide! I'm really leaning toward farmhouse. Ugh. Decisions, decisions....
