I love a good thrift store upcycle idea.

I find nothing more fun than cruising the thrift store aisles, finding something sorta ugly and making it into something sorta cute.

5 Reasons To Love Repurposing Thrift Store Finds:

Eco-friendly! The more stuff you take home and repurpose, the less that ends up in the landfills.
Cheap! I can't think of a more inexpensive way to add decor to your home than making over something you bought for a few dollars at the local thrift store.
One of a kind! It is a truly unique way to create home decor, since no one but you will have that item in your house. So long big box stores, hello individuality.
Fun! You never know what you're going to find at the thrift, so it's like a treasure hunt with no map, no gold doubloons and no Johnny Depp. But plenty of treasures.
Support Charitable Causes! Most, but not all, thrift stores are run by local charities or non-profits. So while you are decorating your home in a super cute budget friendly way, the charity is able to help more people in the community.

Today we're going to recap the best upcycling projects our Thrift Store Decor Team did this year. Yes, it's that time of the year when I bore you with countdowns and best of's and all that stuff.

I have to say I think our Thrift Store Decor Team has really outdone ourselves in 2019. We try to find projects made from things that can easily be found at just about any thrift store and projects that can be completed rather quickly.

And normally don't require power tools and mechanical engineering degrees. I think we nailed it.

I think my favorite project that I myself made this year was my DIY Earring Holder made from a thrift store frame.

I love how Kristin at My Uncommon Slice Of Suburbia used chalk paint with her Antique Mirror Makeover. So much can be done to improve a thrift store find by a fresh coat of paint!
